Our carefully selected seasonal menus bring together a whole host of traditional British and Mediterranean-inspired dishes that are perfectly equipped to satisfy all appetites and occasions.

As a result, The Riverside is often the first port of call for those looking for a suitable place to host a celebratory dinner with friends, or as an ideal location for colleagues looking to enjoy a refreshing pint in the sunshine after a long day in the office.

We also offer private dining experiences, and you can find plenty of car parking facilities on site.

Located in Tuckton, we’re a short 6.1 mile drive from Bournemouth, which is roughly 15-minutes. Travelling to The Riverside really couldn’t be simpler.

The nearest mainline train station is Christchurch, which is a 15-minute walk away from The Riverside. Local buses are easily accessible and run regularly in order to get you around. Look out for the Yellow Buses number 1, and the M2 service.

The pub is located right next to the River Stour and if you like you can even hire boats for the day just across from our pub.

With its picturesque setting and spacious bar and restaurant areas, The Riverside also offers beautiful bespoke weddings, in a truly unique location. Providing the ultimate setting to celebrate, indulge and mingle, with your nearest and dearest on such a special day. Keeping Busy in Bournemouth

Situated in the heart of Tuckton, a suburb of the cosmopolitan seaside city of Bournemouth. The Riverside is within easy walking distance of a number of local attractions, and historical sites.

The Captains Club & Spa is only 1.4 miles away, so after a relaxing day at the spa why not come over to The Riverside to unwind and refuel in our stylish surroundings, which offer fantastic views over the River Stour. The 11th century Christchurch Priory and Gardens can also be found nearby — for those of you wishing to embark on a historical pilgrimage of sorts.

A 15-minute drive takes you to Christchurch Quay, a popular location for families and comprises of two areas, which makes it perfect for picnics, and outdoor entertainment. The Quomps is a flat, open, grassed area, complete with a splash park and children’s play area. The Town Quay has an enclosed grassed area, featuring the Place Mill, which dates back to 1100 AD as well as a modern Art Gallery. If you wish you can also rent a riverboat for the day, or even partake in a round of mini golf if you fancy.

Southbourne Beach is a 5-minute drive, or a lovely 20-minute walk from The Riverside, while Hengistbury Head, which juts into the English Channel is easily accessible on foot in 30-minutes, and only 10-minutes away by car. Other local attractions include The Regent Centre Theatre, and Red House Museum and Gardens, which are both around a 30-minute walk from our pub. When you’ve finished exploring, pop over to The Riverside to immerse yourself in our relaxed atmosphere, and indulge in a delicious range of tempting drinks and dishes.
